COMPETITION PARAMETERS 

1)  The play should be not less than 45 minutes and not more than 1 hour 30 minutes in length. 

2) The play should be for not more than 3 performers, who can be actors or musicians 

3) We would be looking for first drafts rather than finished plays 

4) Entrants must be based in the Scottish Borders of Dumfries and Galloway 

5) Entrants may be either new or established writers 

6) As well as money prizes, selected plays will be developed with an experienced director, in association with the Playwrights’ Studio with a view to “rehearsed reading/work-in-progress” performances at Bowhill Theatre and at a venue in Dumfries and Galloway; with the possibility of full productions later.
